Project Description 

H2-TACTICS aims to develop a holistic methodology based on intelligent quality control strategies to enhance the sustainability and affordability of high-precision products, using the hydrogen valve as a case study. These strategies involve integrating used or remanufactured components into the linear production line through dynamic tolerancing and quality control, aiming to reduce scrap rates, waste, and overall costs.

Scientific Gaps 

  • Identification and evaluation of used components under consideration of different quality strategies
  • Tolerance allocation based-optimization  for multiple and various component characteristics affecting product function, waste efforts, scrap rates and production cost
  • Intelligent quality control strategies application in sustainable manufacturing  to achieve products` quality requirements in a cost-efficient way and lead to an increase in sustainability
